Sarfaraz Ahmed does his bit to support Pakistan & India Cricket Series!!!

Pakistan made an immense stride towards resuscitating global cricket at home following a dry patch of three years after which they successfully arranged to have a three-coordinate Twenty20 arrangement in the midst of tight security against an elegant World XI, earlier this month.

The arrangement was very much needed in the cricket-distraught nation since a 2009 activist assault on the Sri Lankan group transport in Lahore left eight dead and sent global cricket out of Pakistan for 8 whole years.

Sarfaraz takes the intiative:

The PCB have their expectations riding sky high now that the series has ended successfully, and they hope it will put an end to this dark phase in Pakistan Cricket. Now the next step is the recommencement of the India-Pakistan matches which has been put on hold by the Government of India since 2008, after the November attacks in Mumbai.

Though the governments do not get along well, the spirit of friendship can be seen between the Indian and Pakistani players. Twitter has been a regular platform through which they share regular updates of their bond, wishing each other on birthdays and festive occasions.

Pakistan cricket team Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has gone a step further and announced himself as the Brand Ambassador for the Dubai based Danube Group, owned by Anis Sajan, an Indian businessman. Sarfaraz feels that serving the role of Brand Ambassador for an Indian owned company in the Pakistani market will be a step in severing the cricketing ties between the two nations. He feels that cricket is the way to regenerate friendly relations between the two nations.

Danube Group

Danube Group owner Mr. Anis Sajan also agrees with the ace cricketer on this issue as he too feels that such a bond should definitely severe cricketing ties between the two nations. During a press conference, he held praise for Sarfaraz and applauded the move as it was with the right intention.

Whether this will rekindle the friendship between the two nations, that is hard to say, however this noble move from the cricket captain certainly deserves a praise.
